Prophecy Being Fulfilled: Architecture for Third Temple Currently Being Drawn Up

The Hebrew prophets all proclaimed that in the last days, the Jewish exiles would return to Israel and that the Temple would be rebuilt. That is exactly what seems to be happening right now! The Temple Institute encourages Jews to hope for Third Temple in new video, sending a clear message to the world that we truly believe that the Temple Mount is ours and we truly hope and pray for the rebuilding of the Third Temple.

Current Efforts and Membership

An organization called THIRD TEMPLE has been launched and it currently has over 619,000 members! Their stated goal is to “build the Third Temple for the benefit of mankind.” With the war in Gaza, few have been paying attention, but now there is a serious effort moving forward with the building of the Third Temple. The details are being worked out and the architecture is being drawn up.

Regarding the development of this project, the following table summarizes the key data:

Category Data Details
Organization Name THIRD TEMPLE
Membership Count Over 619,000 members
Unperformable Torah Laws 202 out of 613 (About one third)
Biblical Blueprint Ezekiel chapters 40-48

Religious and Prophetic Significance

The rebuilding of the Third Temple is key to both Christian and Jewish end time prophecy detailed in Ezekiel chapters 40-48, where he describes a detailed vision of a future temple, which some interpret as a blueprint for a Third Temple that will be built in the last days. Since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD, the Jewish people have been without a place for their sacrifices. In fact, about one third of the Jewish laws (202 out of 613) from the Torah cannot be performed without a Temple. That Temple seems to be more of a reality today than ever before.

Prophet Amos mapped out exactly what happened after Israel became a nation again in 1948 when he wrote in chapter 9:14-15: “I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them.” This prophecy has already happened since Israel was founded as a nation in 1948: “They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit." Israel has become an agricultural powerhouse in the Middle East. Israel is surrounded by enemies that are larger and superior in size and force, but they have been unable to ‘uproot’ Israel, even though they have tried since the first day that Israel became a nation.

Differing Interpretations and Challenges

There are various views on how these prophecies will manifest. For example, some state that the 3rd temple that is to be built is not the same as described in Ezekiel, as the Ezekiel temple will be built in the 1000 year kingdom after Jesus returns. This temple will stand on the highest point on Mount Olivet according to Isaiah 2. Some believe that the third Temple will be built to fulfill a prophetic requirement that directly correlates to the revelation of the Anti-Christ.

Other perspectives suggest a different interpretation of scripture. Some argue that God abolished the sacrificial system and that Christ was the final sacrifice. Furthermore, the physical location remains a point of discussion, as some believe the temple will be built next to the Dome of the Rock.
