Reaching the World with the Authentic Jesus through Media and Ministry
We’re on a mission to ensure that all 7 seasons of The Chosen are produced, translated into 600 languages, globally distributed, and free for all. Join us in inviting a billion people to find and follow Jesus. Reaching a billion people with the authentic Jesus is a goal that requires us to bring our loaves and fish and let God take care of feeding the five thousand.
The Global Impact of The Chosen
Our commitment is to bring The Chosen and the story of Jesus to 95% of the world’s population through quality translations and dubbing that are culturally relevant and biblically accurate. The Chosen has brought the Bible to life for millions, acting as a powerful tool for introducing others to the authentic Jesus of the Bible. The high-quality production, especially the writing, has captivated viewers from the get-go, sparking a desire in many to delve deeper into the Bible and seek Him further.
As described in the Great Commission: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20a). This mission is exemplified in the following goals:
- Make all 7 seasons of The Chosen globally available.
- Keep all 7 seasons free to watch – anywhere, at any time.
- Ensure dubbing and translations are culturally relevant and biblically accurate.
Healing Beyond the Physical
At TRAC Healing Ministry and Cairnhill Methodist Church, we have seen God heal all kinds of sickness, ranging from cancer, pain, gastrointestinal issues to deafness. However, we recognize that the more important kind of healing is spiritual healing. God heals physically, but the physical healing is only a means to something even better—spiritual healing of our relationship with God. Physical healing on its own is futile if it gives someone extra years of life but the person continues to live that life without knowing God.
The following table illustrates the different facets of healing experienced through ministry and the portrayal of Jesus:
| Type of Healing | Example from the Material |
|---|---|
| Physical Healing | Recovery from stroke, cancer, arthritis, and hearing problems. |
| Emotional Healing | Finding peace in scripture and Jesus' sacrifices after a tragic loss. |
| Spiritual Healing | Reconciliation with God and experiencing eternal life in Christ Jesus. |
Stories of Transformation
The portrayal of Jesus' grace and power deeply moved many who felt lost and broken. For instance, one individual shared: "As I delved deeper into scripture and prayer, I realized my faith was my strength. It helped me heal and reconnect with my soul." Around this time, watching The Chosen beautifully depicted Jesus and all characters, playing a significant role in a personal healing journey.
Another powerful testimony comes from David Chia, who had suffered a stroke and could only manage to walk the length of the hospital ward. His therapist noted his recovery had plateaued, yet after prayers, God started to heal and strengthen David’s legs at an amazing rate. From traveling in a wheelchair, he became able to walk the full distance and even play badminton. More important than the physical healing was the spiritual healing as Uncle David was drawn into a closer relationship with God.
The Call to Share the Gospel
Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” When Nathanael questioned if anything good could come from Nazareth, Philip simply said, "Come and See." (John 1:45-46).
God can bring healing through you. Let’s lead the people around us to Jesus and if they are struggling with sickness, let’s pray for them. The more important healing is the healing of the body of Christ, that brothers- and sisters-in-Christ all around the world may be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing love and bringing God’s healing to all.
