Her Preaching Camp 2.0: Empowering Women in Ministry and Spiritual Restoration

Her Preaching Camp 2.0 is a Seven (7) Week Ministry Cohort Where Women Can Refine Their Preaching and Praying Craft In A Safe Space. Running from April 6 - May 18, 2025, sessions are held Weekly Sundays @ 6:00 PM EST. This gathering examines the courage, integrity, and vulnerability required to proclaim truth in a world that often resists it.

Ministry Sessions and Core Themes

The cohort features diverse sessions led by experienced speakers to help women engage with theology, storytelling, and spiritual formation:

  • Preacher As Truth-Teller with Nadia Bolz-Weber: She will challenge preachers to engage hard truths with authenticity, compassion, and a willingness to embrace the tension between grace and accountability.
  • Preacher As Author with Rev. Dr. Donyelle McCray: This session considers how the act of writing refines the preacher’s message, allowing her to engage with storytelling in ways that reach beyond the moment of proclamation.
  • Preacher as Worshiper with Courtney Harrell: This session explores how worship shapes the inner life of a preacher, artist, or servant leader, aligning the heart with God so that ministry flows authentically.
  • Preacher As Justice-Seeker with Rector Rev. Gini Gerbasi: She will offer insights on proclaiming truth in the public square, holding institutions accountable, and embodying the gospel’s call for righteousness and equity.
  • Preacher As Storyteller with Rev. Dr. Bertice Berry: This moment explores the power of storytelling in preaching, offering techniques for crafting sermons that captivate and transform.
  • Preacher As Artist with Associate Rector Samantha McKean: Preaching is more than words; it is an act of creative expression using rhythm, imagery, and the senses to communicate the gospel.
  • Preacher As Epistle with Rev. Dr. Claudette A. Copeland: A preacher is more than just a preacher, she is a living epistle representing the gospel of Jesus Christ, shaped by the depths of her interior life.
