3 Days Fasting and Prayer for April 30th & May 1st & 2nd 2021

Scripture: Mark 8:22-25

“Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.”

Precious saints let me tell you today that when you see this miracle above that Jesus did to the blind man, you may be saying “why did it take two times for this man to be healed?” Well, the truth be known is that before Jesus opened the man’s natural eyes, He opened his spiritual eyes first.

The Importance of Spiritual Vision

I believe Jesus also desires to open our spiritual eyes, so if you need Jesus to open your spiritual eyes, then you have come to the right place. For this weekend God also is going to show you great and mighty things precious saints. We need the “eyes of our hearts” to be enlightened this weekend during this fast. We need the Holy Spirit to come and do a mighty work that we might no longer live only for that which is seen, but by faith pursue the unseen.

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen..”

God longs for us to pursue the deeper things of him in faith. He longs for us to grow in our relationship with the Holy Spirit and learn to live life with his presence, leadership, voice, and love as the foundation for everything we do. To live only by the things we can physically see is to live only for that which is temporal and fleeting.

Event Details and Purpose

This month of April we want to encourage all Christians on social media that want breakthrough and restoration to Fast & Pray along with us this month’s 3 day fast. This is an event anybody can partake of anywhere around the world in your home, church, friend’s house, in the village or in the city etc with the main purpose of getting people to repent and turn back to God on the same calendar day through fasting with the help of prayer taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14, that it will build awareness of the need to pray for your local church. Though we are on different time lines I encourage you to just follow the dates for your respective countries.

Fasting Types and Levels

  • Dry Fast: You may wish to do 3 days dry fast without water or food.
  • Water Fast: Maybe you wish to do 3 days with water fast.
  • Partial Fast: You could fast from food but drinking water or fluids partially.

You are welcome to break the fast each evening and start again either after meal (6am-6pm) or you can go straight through as I said.

Guidelines for the Fast

  1. Avoid medical and even natural herbal drugs. However, if you are under medication, these should only be withdrawn upon the advice of your doctor.
  2. Limit your physical activity and exercise. If you have a workout routine, adjust it accordingly.
  3. Maintain an attitude of prayer throughout the day. Intercede for your family, pastors, church, nation, missionaries & world missions, etc.
  4. Drink plenty of clean water if you are joining the water fast.
  5. As your body adjusts, be prepared for temporary bouts of physical weakness as well as a greater likelihood of impatience, irritability, and anxiety.

Humility and the Deeper Things of God

The Bible says there is a veil over our eyes until we believe. But even after that, we must beware of our pride. If you read the Bible and think you know everything already, you won’t see anything. It is so vital that we stay hungry for God, but not just hungry but humble before the Lord. See for us to go higher, we must learn to go lower and just and so is the same for those desiring to go deeper in God. We must allow him to open the eyes of our hearts to see him as He truly is.

Psalm 101:3 says, “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me..” God has worthwhile work in store for us. He has a plan to bring heaven to earth through our lives every day. But in order to make an impact on eternity we must be able to see and know the heart of God. We must become increasingly aware of how God feels and what he wants to do moment-by-moment.

Growing in our relationship with the Holy Spirit is the foundation of seeking the deeper things of God. Learning to live by and with him is the only way to advance his kingdom. God has already made everything for your future you just need to claim through your rightful inheritance. Remember this no matter how much you may want something, if its not beautiful in His eyes, it is not yet His time for it. So, let us all wait upon the Lord to renew our strength and rise up with wings like eagles today.
