Minimalist Bible Stories: Creation Day 2 and the Miracle of Resurrection

I've been a big fan of the minimalist poster designs. Taking something as complex as a person or a movie and stripping it down to one powerful graphical element that is instantly recognizable. I wanted to do something unique; something that had never been done before. So God hit me alongside the head with an idea: Bible stories.

Creation Day 2

Creation Day 2 comes from Genesis 1:6-8 (NLT) which says, "Then God said, 'Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.' And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. God called the space 'sky.' And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day."

For me, my mind can't comprehend what I just read. God created the sky. When I think of sky, I think of emptiness and blue, but to God it has a purpose. Even though the purpose is a huge mystery to me, I know that God took a whole day to make it and it's for a reason. "For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory." –Romans 11:36
